Morne à l’Eau
Cemeteries
For All Saints Day, make sure to visit the cemetery of Morne-à-L’eau. Those black and white graves layed out in the shape of an amphitheater, give this place its unique charm. This is one of the most visited cemeteries of Guadeloupe Islands. For locals, All Saints Day is an occasion to celebrate! Check out the typical peanuts and “snowball” merchants, and take in the view of 1800 graves illuminated by candles!
Note that Morne à L’eau cemeteries is registered, since 2015, as a french historical monument just like Pere Lachaise in Paris.
