Saint-François
La Pointe des Chateaux
La Pointe des Châteaux is a peninsula, protected by France’s National Forests Office, that extends into the Atlantic Ocean from the Eastern coast of the island of Grande-Terre in the Guadeloupe Islands. The short 20-min hike to the cross is well worth the detour: you will be rewarded with the spectacular sight of giant waves crashing on rocks.
Golf
The Guadeloupe Islands are also popular for the Golf International of Saint-François. The recently renovated 18-hole golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr, is open and sunny with large bunkers. The varying wind directions change the game, so it always feels new. Overall, the layout is harmonious with well-arranged trees, slopes, artificial lakes and bunkers. The location is superb, completes this elegant setting, providing all the usual facilities. It is a favoured venue for receiving champions for the different opens, tournaments and other major events.
